actually I wanted to write a critique but I'm not sure I can because I can't find to much to complain about here... Oh well I'll try anyway. The images are pretty different in color, tone, subject, lighting, and yet they work together quite well. Although this is pretty far from what I've done so far, if this was my work I'd consider rotating the right image by a few degrees ccw - as it is the whole composition is very heavy on the right side, I'd think rotating the right image would probably counterbalance this. Also imo the right image has a greater sense of depth to it than the left, I'm not sure what this does to the overall impact though. Looking at it purely as abstract shapes the left one is too much of a landscape... On the other hand, maybe these differences are what makes this an interesting image in the first place. I really feel like a tourist in an art gallery right now with my amateur gibberish, I hope you're not laughing to hard.
