Well, each useless product we buy, each cheaper product that we buy from abroad instead of locally, each kilometer we drive uselessly, each light that stays up light for nobody are also dramas. While I am with you on the need to be respectful for our environment, I think that the fight against nuclear energy is hiding more obvious problems...

no I don't agree, I think there are a lot of points worth to fight against... and I don't say there is only one point... nuclear energy or so

Of course I think it's our economic system worth to fight against as well :)
unemployment and poorness and injustize are a worldwide problem as well as the energy issue.

The problem with blaming it on the choice of nuclear power is that it misses the point that WE use that energy, the industry works for US, the trucks ride for US...

indeed... but I think one individual is not able to change that... the old mister marx said: we have to do a forced law to change those aspects...
it's too slowly to wait until people do that

I think it takes some leadership to succeed, people with a lot of charisma (I don't see many in my country right now)

Tolle Idee, einfache und effektive, Politik in den guten Weg, aber eine Bemerkung : vielleicht dieses Bild würde noch stärker rückgängig gemacht werden, (atomkraft nacht)

mankind has such a hunger for power ... we are all to blame maybe not in the way of how we get the power but we all use it ... brilliant pictures :D

Cattenom is north of where I live and Fessenheim is south east, on the Rhine rift valley. It's France's oldest reactor.
The mountains each side of the Rhine move all the time. We sometimes feel the earthquakes.
Men are crazy.
Basle was destroyed completely a few centuries ago. It is a few kilometers from Fessenheim.

France has 58 nuclear reactors.
It will take years to close them down.

Shame on us in France.

If an accident happened at Cattenom the south west wind would blow a nuclear cloud of particles up towards our Belgian and German neighbours.
What a friendly gesture!
