Grrrrrrr!

I read recently that almost all Japanese reactors are shut down.

France won't close ours completely for years and we shall leave a lot of very toxic waste for EVER.

so do we... but we are going to stop that...
it took a long journey to get to this point of stopping... :(

We have still a long way to go.
Did you know that Germany will import (nuclear) electricity from France after the all your reactors are closed?

No-one asked us in France if we wanted nuclear energy. It was a decision made by General de Gaule a long time ago, to be independent of any other country.
Now we are stuck in a difficult position. How do we replace this source of energy quickly?

Of course research is being made into renewable energies, as for example from the sea and the wind. It will need many different alternatives before we can stop.
70% of our electricity comes from the atom.
The nuclear lobby is very powerful here.

Total Oil want to exploit gas from sand deposits underground. Gaz de schist. That's bad too.

I don't think that we will import your energy... we are going to try to ust renewable energy as much as possible, we do a lot for that. now... so let's see

I know, such decisions are never made by people that's government and industry who decide that

Well our experts say you will import our electricity. I think you do already.
Of course it is an excuse not to stop making nuclear energy here.

I hope we can stop it all one day.

we don't do that right now... thats what I know, and we try our best not to use your energy in the future... of course the "experts" talk a lot on a long day ... :)
